Sealing: Calacatta Gold marble must be sealed before grouting and after installation with a premium penetrating stone sealer. In wet areas such as showers, reapply sealer every 6–12 months. The white background is particularly susceptible to staining, so consistent sealing is critical to preserving the stone's pristine appearance.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner diluted in warm water and a soft microfiber cloth. Never use vinegar, lemon juice, bleach, or any acidic or alkaline cleaner — the polished surface etches easily upon contact with acids, resulting in dull spots that are difficult to reverse. Dry surfaces promptly after wet use to prevent water spotting.

Installation: Use white polymer-modified thinset mortar to prevent any grey or dark adhesive from telegraphing through the translucent white stone. Press mesh sheets firmly into the thinset and back-butter larger chips for full coverage. Use non-sanded grout for the tight joints between mosaic chips, and ensure mesh sheet edges are aligned carefully for a seamless herringbone flow across the installation.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
