Honed
A honed finish is the choice for understated, sophisticated natural stone. A smooth, low-sheen matte surface that softens glare and lets the stone's natural color and character shine — available across marble, travertine, and limestone in tiles, mosaics, and trims.
What "Honed" Means
Honed stone is ground to a smooth, flat surface and stopped before it reaches a reflective polish — leaving a soft, matte finish. The result is a more natural, muted look than polished stone, with two practical advantages: a honed surface hides etching, scratches, and water spots far better than a glossy one, and its matte texture offers more slip resistance underfoot. That makes honed a popular, low-worry choice for floors, showers, and high-traffic spaces.
Materials & Formats
Natural Stone Tile — Honed marble, travertine, and limestone field tiles in sizes from 12×12 up to oversized planks, for floors and walls.
Mosaics — Honed mosaics in hexagon, herringbone, square, and more — the soft matte finish keeps the look calm and refined.
