Small 1×2 white and soft grey marble chips with a cleft, textured face, set in a brick layout on a mesh-backed sheet.

White Carrara marble in a split face finish. The stone is cleaved rather than smoothed, so each chip has a rough, dimensional surface. Light catches the crystalline faces and the joints cast soft shadow across the wall.

The 1×2 chips arrive pre-arranged on a mesh-backed sheet, which keeps spacing consistent and cuts down on layout work. It is made for indoor walls: backsplashes, shower walls, niches, feature walls and fireplace surrounds. The texture is not suited to floors.

Expect moderate variation (V3) from chip to chip, with shifts in white, grey and veining. Your sample comes from the lot we have in stock now, so it shows that lot's actual color range and finish. Care & Cleaning

Seal It

Seal before grouting and again regularly. In showers, use a penetrating stone sealer every 6–12 months. The split face texture has more surface area, so apply several coats and fully saturate it.

Clean It

Use a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft brush, then rinse well. Avoid vinegar, citrus products and bleach, which can etch marble. Blot spills promptly, especially oils and acidic liquids.

Expect This

Chips show moderate variation in white, grey and veining. The textured surface can hold soap residue, so rinse after cleaning. Marble can etch over time with acidic spills.

Tile & Mosaic Depot supplies material only. Installation method, setting materials, and substrate are your installer's responsibility. Inspect every piece before setting; installation is acceptance, and installed material cannot be returned or claimed.

Can I use this on a shower wall?

Yes. It works on shower accent walls and niches, with thorough sealing. The split face surface is not suited to floors, so choose a different tile for a shower floor.

How do I care for the textured surface?

What should I use to install it?

The mesh-backed sheet keeps chips spaced and aligned, so grout lines stay even. Use a white polymer-modified thinset to avoid grey bleed-through on this pale stone, and back-butter each sheet for full contact.

How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Free curbside freight on qualifying mosaic and molding orders over $1,999 in the continental U.S. Field tile, porcelain, and other product types ship at freight rates shown at checkout. Not available to Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. territories, or international addresses.

Damage & Shortages
Report within 3 calendar days of delivery with photos of the pallet, packaging, and affected pieces to sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com. Verified claims are covered. Shortages of 1–5 pieces are refunded rather than reshipped — which is why we recommend ordering 10% overage.

30-Day Returns
Uninstalled tile in full, unopened boxes may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Return freight is paid by the customer. Partial boxes, opened boxes, installed material, and samples are final sale.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
