Sealing: Noce Travertine must be sealed before installation and re-sealed every 12–18 months, or annually in wet areas such as bathrooms. Use a premium penetrating (impregnating) sealer formulated for travertine to protect against moisture infiltration and staining. The honed finish is more absorbent than a polished surface and requires diligent sealing maintenance.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft mop or cloth — never use vinegar, lemon juice, bleach, or any acidic or alkaline cleaners, as these will etch and discolor the honed surface. Wipe up spills promptly, especially coffee, wine, and citrus liquids. Avoid abrasive scrubbing pads that can scratch the matte finish.

Installation: Use a white or light-gray polymer-modified thinset mortar to prevent dark bleed-through on the warm stone tones. Back-butter each tile in addition to spreading thinset on the substrate to ensure full coverage across the large 18×18 format and prevent lippage. The chiseled edge requires a slightly wider grout joint (3/8" to 1/2" recommended) to accommodate the natural edge irregularity; use a sanded grout matched to the stone's warm tones. Allow proper curing time before grouting and sealing.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
