Sealing: Seal all travertine ledger corners with a penetrating impregnating sealer before and after grouting. For exterior installations or areas exposed to moisture, reapply sealer annually. The unfilled, split-face surface is particularly porous and requires thorough sealer saturation to prevent staining and moisture intrusion into natural voids.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft brush or cloth — never acidic cleaners, vinegar, citrus-based products, or bleach, which will etch and discolor travertine. Avoid pressure washing exterior installations at close range; use a wide-fan low-pressure setting to preserve the split-face texture and prevent dislodging of smaller stone pieces.

Installation: Use a polymer-modified gray or buff-toned thinset mortar appropriate for natural stone; back-butter each corner piece thoroughly to ensure full adhesion across the irregular split-face surface. Install corner pieces first to establish the finished edge, then work flat ledger panels outward from the corner. Maintain consistent grout joint alignment between corner and field panels for a cohesive stacked profile. For exterior use, confirm the thinset and grout are rated for freeze-thaw cycling in your climate zone.

Freight Delivery

  • Curbside delivery. The carrier unloads at the curb or driveway nearest your address; delivery does not include moving materials indoors or into a garage.
  • Scheduled appointment. The freight company contacts you directly to arrange a delivery window.

Natural Variation
Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

  • Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
  • Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
  • Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
  • Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
