Sealing: Gold Travertine must be sealed prior to grouting and again after installation with a penetrating stone sealer. Due to its naturally porous structure, sealing should be reapplied every 12–18 months in wet areas such as showers and bathroom floors. Pale gold and ivory tones are especially susceptible to staining from oils, grout haze, and hard water — thorough sealing is strongly recommended.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner diluted in warm water and a soft mop or cloth. Avoid acidic cleaners (vinegar, citrus-based products), bleach, or abrasive scrubbers, which will etch the stone surface and degrade the sealer. Wipe up spills — particularly oils, wine, and acidic liquids — immediately to prevent staining through the porous surface.

Installation: Use white or ivory unsanded thinset mortar to avoid discoloring the light-toned stone. For grout joints typical of the Opus Mini pattern, use sanded grout in a complementary warm beige or ivory tone and apply a grout release agent before grouting to protect the tumbled surface. Back-butter individual chips as needed on uneven substrates. Align mesh sheets carefully during installation, and fill travertine voids with grout or matching epoxy filler before final sealing for a polished result.
