Sealing: Crema Marfil is a moderately porous marble that should be sealed before grouting and regularly thereafter. In wet areas such as showers or around sinks, reseal every 6–12 months with a penetrating stone sealer to prevent moisture absorption and staining. The light ivory tones of this stone make consistent sealing especially important to guard against oil, wine, and mineral deposits.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner or mild dish soap diluted in warm water — never use acidic cleaners (vinegar, citrus), bleach, or abrasive scrubbers, as these will etch and dull the polished surface. The high-gloss finish is particularly susceptible to etching from acidic substances, so wipe spills promptly and avoid leaving standing water on the surface.

Installation: Always use white polymer-modified thinset mortar to prevent any gray or dark adhesive from telegraphing through the semi-translucent marble. Apply non-sanded grout for the narrow joints typical of 1×4 mosaic chips. Install sheets by aligning the mesh edge-to-edge and pressing firmly for full contact; back-butter individual chips along sheet edges for a secure bond. Allow thinset to fully cure before grouting.

Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
