Sealing: Thassos White is a dense but highly porous white marble that shows staining readily — apply a premium penetrating sealer before grouting and reseal every 6 to 12 months in wet areas such as showers and bathroom floors. Because this stone is exceptionally white, pre-sealing is critical to prevent grout pigment from absorbing into the stone surface.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft cloth or mop only — never use acidic cleaners (vinegar, citrus), alkaline degreasers, or abrasive scrubbers, as these will etch and dull the polished surface permanently. Wipe spills — especially colored liquids — immediately, as the bright white polished surface is particularly susceptible to etching and staining.

Installation: Always use white polymer-modified thinset mortar to prevent any gray adhesive from telegraphing through the bright white Thassos chips. Use non-sanded grout for the small mosaic joints to avoid scratching the polished surface, and back-butter each sheet lightly for full adhesion coverage. Align mesh sheets carefully before setting to maintain the integrity of the floral pattern across adjacent sheets.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
