Sealing: Emperador Light marble should be sealed with a penetrating stone sealer before installation and again immediately after grouting. In wet areas such as showers and bathroom floors, re-sealing every 12 months is strongly recommended to protect against moisture infiltration and staining. The porous nature of brown marbles makes timely sealing especially important.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner or warm water only — never use acidic cleaners (vinegar, citrus), bleach, or abrasive scrubbers, as these will etch and dull the polished surface. Wipe up spills promptly, especially acidic substances like wine, coffee, or juice, which can etch the finish even when the tile is sealed. Dry the surface after cleaning in wet areas to prevent mineral deposits.

Installation: Use a white polymer-modified thinset mortar to avoid any gray bleed-through on lighter veining. Back-butter each tile fully to ensure 95% coverage and prevent lippage on the floor. Use tile spacers to maintain consistent 1/16" to 1/8" grout joints, and select an unsanded grout in a complementary warm beige or cream tone. Mix tiles from multiple boxes during installation to blend any batch variation naturally across the floor.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
