Sealing: Lucy Gray marble must be sealed prior to installation and resealed at least once a year in bathrooms or other wet areas. As a lighter-toned stone, it is more susceptible to staining from oils, soaps, and minerals, so prompt sealing with a premium penetrating stone sealer is strongly recommended.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft cloth or mop — never use vinegar, lemon juice, bleach, or general-purpose household cleaners, as acidic and alkaline products will etch the honed surface. Wipe up spills promptly, especially from coffee, wine, and citrus, to prevent staining.

Installation: Use white polymer-modified thinset mortar to prevent any gray bleed-through on this light-toned marble. Back-butter each tile in addition to spreading thinset on the substrate to ensure full coverage and prevent hollow spots. A non-sanded grout in a complementary gray or white tone is recommended for standard 1/16–1/8 inch joints.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
