Sealing: Seal with a premium penetrating stone sealer before installation and again after grouting. In wet areas such as showers, re-seal every 12–18 months to prevent moisture infiltration, especially given the unfilled voids which can absorb water and staining agents more readily than filled travertine.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft mop or cloth. Avoid acidic cleaners, vinegar, citrus-based products, and harsh scrubbers, which will etch the honed surface and deteriorate the stone over time. Wipe up food and beverage spills promptly, especially acidic liquids like wine, coffee, and juice.

Installation: Use a white polymer-modified thinset mortar to prevent any gray bleed-through on the pale stone surface. Back-butter each tile fully given the large 16×24 format to ensure 95%+ mortar coverage and prevent hollow spots. Use a wide-format tile leveling system to keep large tiles flat and lippage-free. For grout joints, a sanded grout in an ivory or travertine-toned shade is recommended; if you wish to fill the natural voids, use a grout float to work grout or travertine filler into pits during the grouting phase.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Samples are $7.99 each. Samples ship free and leave our warehouse within 1–3 business days. Sizes vary by material and availability — typically 3"×3" up to 8"×8" — and every sample is cut from the same material stocked for full orders.

What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
