Sealing: Nero Marquina marble must be sealed before installation and re-sealed every 6–12 months in wet areas such as showers and pool surrounds. The tumbled surface is more porous than a polished finish and will absorb sealers readily — apply a penetrating impregnating sealer rated for natural stone. Sealing is critical to preventing water infiltration, staining, and efflorescence.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and warm water — never use acidic cleaners (vinegar, lemon-based products) or alkaline degreasers, as these will etch and degrade the marble surface over time. For the tumbled texture, a soft-bristle brush can help dislodge debris from the textured surface without scratching. Blot spills immediately, especially from acidic substances like wine, citrus, or coffee.

Installation: Use a white or light gray polymer-modified thinset to prevent any adhesive color from telegraphing through thinner veined areas of the marble. Because the tumbled finish has naturally uneven edges, use sanded grout with wider joints (3/16" to 1/4") to complement the rustic aesthetic and accommodate slight size variations. Back-butter each tile to ensure full coverage and eliminate voids, particularly for floor installations. For outdoor use, ensure substrate drainage is adequate and use a frost-resistant thinset in colder climates.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
