Sealing: Noce travertine, even when filled and honed, is a porous natural stone that requires sealing before installation and regular resealing every 12–18 months in wet or high-traffic areas such as showers and bathroom floors. Use a premium penetrating (impregnating) sealer rated for natural stone. The honed finish, while more forgiving than polished, can still absorb oils and staining agents if left unsealed.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner or warm water and a soft mop or cloth. Avoid acidic cleaners (vinegar, citrus-based products), bleach, or abrasive scrubbers, which can dull the honed surface and etch the stone. Wipe up spills — especially oils, wine, and acidic liquids — promptly to prevent staining.

Installation: Use a white or cream-colored polymer-modified thinset mortar to avoid color bleed-through on lighter grout lines. For this large 12×24 format, back-butter each tile in addition to combing the substrate to ensure full coverage and prevent hollow spots. A large-format notched trowel (½″ × ½″ square-notch) is recommended. Use a 1/16″ to 1/8″ grout joint with a sanded grout matched to the stone's warm tones. Ensure the substrate is flat to within 1/8″ over 10 feet to prevent lippage.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
