Sealing: Noce Travertine must be sealed prior to installation and re-sealed annually in outdoor environments, or every 6 months in pool surrounds and high-moisture areas. Use a penetrating (impregnating) sealer formulated for porous travertine. The open voids and tumbled texture of this stone make it particularly susceptible to water infiltration and staining if left unsealed. Filling voids with grout or travertine filler before sealing is recommended for a cleaner surface and reduced maintenance.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and warm water using a stiff brush or mop. Avoid acidic cleaners, vinegar, citrus-based products, or bleach, as these will etch and degrade the travertine surface and break down sealers prematurely. For outdoor use, a periodic rinse with a garden hose is suitable for routine maintenance; use a pressure washer on a low setting only when necessary, keeping the nozzle at least 12 inches from the surface.

Installation: These 3 cm pavers should be installed on a compacted gravel base with a mortar or polymeric sand setting bed suitable for exterior paving — do not use standard interior thinset. For pool surrounds, use a white or gray exterior-grade mortar to prevent dark bleed-through into the stone. Leave appropriate expansion joints and use a joint sand or exterior grout rated for freeze-thaw cycling in cold climates. Ensure proper slope for drainage away from structures (minimum 1/8 inch per foot). Fill travertine voids with sanded grout or travertine filler before or after installation as preferred, then seal the entire surface once grout has fully cured.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Samples are $7.99 each. Samples ship free and leave our warehouse within 1–3 business days. Sizes vary by material and availability — typically 3"×3" up to 8"×8" — and every sample is cut from the same material stocked for full orders.

What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
