      Care & install: Travertine is porous and should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer (exterior-rated for outdoor and pool use), and cleaned only with pH-neutral products. Filled-and-honed tiles are smoother; tumbled and unfilled keep the natural texture and pitting. In freeze-thaw climates confirm the stone and installation are rated for those conditions. Natural variation is part of the character; order a sample and blend from multiple boxes. Mosaics are sold by the sheet.
