Bianco Caldo Marble1/2 × 12 Pencil Liner, Polished

A slim, polished white marble pencil liner with soft grey veining, for finishing edges and framing field tile.

This pencil liner is a slender, rod-shaped molding, 1/2 inch by 12 inches. It draws a clean line along an edge, around a niche, or between two tile fields. The white ground carries soft grey veining, and the polished face catches light along its narrow profile.

Use it as a border, a wainscot cap, or a thin band inside a marble layout. It is sold per piece. Pair it with a white or grey marble field tile, and sample both together to see how the whites sit side by side.

Care & Cleaning

Seal It

Seal with a penetrating stone sealer before installation. In wet areas such as showers and backsplashes, reseal every 6-12 months. This is a bright white stone, so stains show easily.

Clean It

Use a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft cloth. Avoid vinegar, citrus, alkaline degreasers, and abrasive pads. Wipe dry after use in wet areas.

Expect This

Polished marble can etch from acidic substances and shows water spots and soap residue more readily than honed stone. Expect slight variation in tone and veining from piece to piece.

Tile & Mosaic Depot supplies material only. Installation method, setting materials, and substrate are your installer's responsibility. Inspect every piece before setting; installation is acceptance, and installed material cannot be returned or claimed.

Questions

Can I use this pencil liner in a shower?

Yes, on shower walls and around wall niches. Keep it off floors, since polished marble is slippery when wet and this narrow profile is not made for floor installation.

Will my order match the sample or photo?

Your sample comes from the lot we have in stock now, so it shows that lot's actual color range and finish. Future lots may look lighter, darker, or more veined, so order your full quantity plus 10% at once to keep the whole job from one lot.

How do I work out how many pieces I need?

Each piece is sold individually and measures 12 inches, or 1 foot, long. Measure the linear feet of edge you want to trim, then add 10% for cuts and breakage.

Does it need sealing?

Yes. Sealing is recommended for this marble. Apply a penetrating stone sealer before installation and reseal every 6-12 months in wet areas.

How do samples work?

What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

  • The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
  • Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
  • Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
  • Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Damage & Shortages
Report within 3 calendar days of delivery with photos of the pallet, packaging, and affected pieces to sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com. Verified claims are covered. Shortages of 1–5 pieces are refunded rather than reshipped — which is why we recommend ordering 10% overage.

30-Day Returns
Uninstalled tile in full, unopened boxes may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Return freight is paid by the customer. Partial boxes, opened boxes, installed material, and samples are final sale.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

  • Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
  • Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
  • Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
