A deep chocolate-brown marble with cream and gold veining, cut in a classic 12 × 12 square and polished to a reflective finish.

Emperador Dark has a chocolate-to-espresso base crossed by a dense web of cream, gold and rust veins, with occasional white patches. The polished finish deepens the color and gives the veining a reflective surface.

The 12 × 12 square suits straight-set or diagonal layouts. Use it on indoor walls and floors where you want a dark, richly patterned surface. Expect moderate shade variation (V3) from tile to tile. It is sold per sq ft, and each tile covers 1 sq ft.

Seal It

Apply a penetrating stone sealer before installation. In wet areas such as bathrooms and kitchens, reseal about every 12 months.

Clean It

Use a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft microfiber cloth or mop. Avoid vinegar, lemon-based products, other acids and abrasive scrubbers.

Expect This

Acids can etch and dull a polished surface, so wipe up spills quickly. Veining, color and pattern differ from tile to tile, as with any natural marble.

Tile & Mosaic Depot supplies material only. Installation method, setting materials, and substrate are your installer's responsibility. Inspect every piece before setting; installation is acceptance, and installed material cannot be returned or claimed.

Does this marble need to be sealed?

Can I use it on a floor?

You can use it on indoor floors and walls. Polished marble is slippery when wet, so for bathroom or other wet-area floors, check the plan with your installer first.

How should I clean it?

Use a pH-neutral stone cleaner with a soft cloth or mop for everyday care. Keep vinegar, lemon products and other acids away from the polished surface, since they can etch it.

Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Free Shipping
Free curbside freight on qualifying mosaic and molding orders over $1,999 in the continental U.S. Field tile, porcelain, and other product types ship at freight rates shown at checkout. Not available to Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. territories, or international addresses.

Damage & Shortages
Report within 3 calendar days of delivery with photos of the pallet, packaging, and affected pieces to sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com. Verified claims are covered. Shortages of 1–5 pieces are refunded rather than reshipped — which is why we recommend ordering 10% overage.

30-Day Returns
Uninstalled tile in full, unopened boxes may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Return freight is paid by the customer. Partial boxes, opened boxes, installed material, and samples are final sale.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
