Carrara3 × 6 Matte
A 3 × 6 subway tile with a soft white ground, gray Carrara-style veining and a calm matte surface.
The face is white with soft gray veining that drifts across the tile. The matte surface keeps glare low. Slightly irregular edges, visible in the photos, give a laid wall some depth. The 3 × 6 format suits running bond, stacked or herringbone layouts.
Order a sample for $7.99 each, up to 10 per order. Samples ship free and go out within 1-3 business days. Set it beside your cabinetry, counter and grout in your own light to judge color and finish before you order the full quantity.

Care & Cleaning
Clean It
Use a pH-neutral cleaner with a soft cloth or mop. Rinse and dry to avoid film on the matte surface.
Grout
Choose a grout close to the tile for a quiet wall, or a contrast for a defined grid. Follow the grout maker's instructions for joint width and sealing.
Expect This
Edges are slightly irregular, as the photos show. Plan a consistent joint width and lay out a few tiles before you set them.
Questions
Will my order look like the sample?
Yes. Porcelain is made to a consistent color and finish, so your order will look like your sample.
How do I order a sample?
Add up to 10 samples to your order at $7.99 each. Samples ship free and go out within 1-3 business days.
Where can I use this tile?
Use it on walls such as a kitchen backsplash, bathroom wall or feature wall, which is the installation listed for this tile. Floor use is not confirmed in our product data, so check with us before planning a floor.
Does it need to be sealed?
You can skip sealing the tile surface, since glazed porcelain does not require it. Your grout may have its own sealing instructions, so follow the grout maker's guidance.
How is it sold?
It is sold per box. Measure your wall area, then add extra for cuts and waste.
Why Order a Sample
A screen can't show you how Calacatta veining reads under your kitchen lights or how a porcelain finish sits next to your cabinet color. A sample can. It's the single best way to buy stone or porcelain tile with confidence — and the cheapest mistake you'll ever avoid.
How It Works
Samples are $7.99 each. Samples ship free and leave our warehouse within 1–3 business days. Sizes vary by material and availability — typically 3"×3" up to 8"×8" — and every sample is cut from the same material stocked for full orders.
What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. Porcelain samples are highly representative of the production run. Want to see the current lot before you commit? Ask us — we'll send photos.
Good to Know
- Samples are final sale — non-returnable and non-refundable.
- We recommend sampling before every full order, especially for natural stone.

How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.
Freight Delivery — What to Expect
- The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
- Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
- Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
- Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.
Free Shipping
Free curbside freight on qualifying mosaic and molding orders over $1,999 in the continental U.S. Field tile, porcelain, and other product types ship at freight rates shown at checkout. Not available to Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. territories, or international addresses.
Damage & Shortages
Report within 3 calendar days of delivery with photos of the pallet, packaging, and affected pieces to sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com. Verified claims are covered. Shortages of 1–5 pieces are refunded rather than reshipped — which is why we recommend ordering 10% overage.
30-Day Returns
Uninstalled tile in full, unopened boxes may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Return freight is paid by the customer. Partial boxes, opened boxes, installed material, and samples are final sale.
Questions Before You Order?
Call (855) 797-8453 or email sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com, Monday–Friday 8:30 AM–5 PM PT. If you're unsure about freight access at your address, ask us before checkout — we'll flag anything that could hold up delivery.
Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.
Before You Install
- Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
- Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
- Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.
Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
Responsibility
Tile & Mosaic Depot supplies material only. We are not responsible for installation, labor costs, substrate conditions, setting materials, product misuse, or damage from handling, sealing, maintenance, or chemicals. No claims, returns, or replacements are accepted on installed material.
