A white marble subway tile with a fine crystalline grain, very little veining and a bright, reflective polished face.

Thassos White is a white marble with a fine grain and almost no veining. The polished face reflects light and brightens bath walls, powder rooms and backsplashes. The 6 × 12 format lays in a brick offset, straight stack or vertical stack.

Each tile is 6 × 12 inches and about 3/8" (10 mm) thick. One piece covers 0.5 sq ft, and tile is sold per sq ft. The white surface shows stains if left unsealed, so plan to seal it before grouting.

Samples are $7.99 each, up to 10 per order. Samples ship free, within 1-3 business days. Your sample comes from the lot we have in stock now, so it shows that lot's actual color range and finish. Care & Cleaning

Seal It

Apply a penetrating (impregnating) sealer before grouting. Reseal every 6-12 months in wet areas such as showers. In dry areas such as backsplashes, annual sealing is enough.

Clean It

Use a pH-neutral stone cleaner in warm water and a soft microfiber cloth. Avoid vinegar, lemon juice, bleach and any acidic or alkaline cleaner, which can etch the polished surface.

Expect This

This is natural marble. Tiles may show subtle shifts in crystal density or faint silvery micro-veining. Blot spills right away, especially wine, coffee and oils.

Tile & Mosaic Depot supplies material only. Installation method, setting materials, and substrate are your installer's responsibility. Inspect every piece before setting; installation is acceptance, and installed material cannot be returned or claimed.

Questions

Can I use this tile on shower walls?

Yes. It suits indoor bath and shower walls, backsplashes and feature walls. Seal it before grouting and reseal every 6-12 months in wet areas. For a shower floor, check with us first, as we haven't confirmed that use.

Will my order look like the sample?

Your sample comes from the lot we have in stock now, so it shows that lot's actual color range and finish. Future lots may look lighter, darker, or more veined, so order your full quantity plus 10% at once to keep the whole job from one lot.

How much should I order?

Measure your area in sq ft, then add 10% for cuts and waste. Tile is sold per sq ft, and each 6 × 12 piece covers 0.5 sq ft. Ordering it all at once keeps the job in one lot.

How do I keep the white looking clean and bright?

Set it with bright-white polymer-modified thinset and back-butter each tile for full coverage. Choose a white grout for a seamless look. Use non-sanded grout for joints under 1/8 inch and sanded for wider joints.

How do I order samples?

You can order up to 10 samples per order at $7.99 each. Samples ship free, within 1-3 business days.

Samples are $7.99 each. Samples ship free and leave our warehouse within 1–3 business days. Sizes vary by material and availability — typically 3"×3" up to 8"×8" — and every sample is cut from the same material stocked for full orders.

What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. Porcelain samples are highly representative of the production run. Want to see the current lot before you commit? Ask us — we'll send photos.

How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

  • The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
  • Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
  • Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
  • Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Free curbside freight on qualifying mosaic and molding orders over $1,999 in the continental U.S. Field tile, porcelain, and other product types ship at freight rates shown at checkout. Not available to Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. territories, or international addresses.

Damage & Shortages
Report within 3 calendar days of delivery with photos of the pallet, packaging, and affected pieces to sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com. Verified claims are covered. Shortages of 1–5 pieces are refunded rather than reshipped — which is why we recommend ordering 10% overage.

30-Day Returns
Uninstalled tile in full, unopened boxes may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Return freight is paid by the customer. Partial boxes, opened boxes, installed material, and samples are final sale.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

  • Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
  • Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
  • Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
