Sealing: Asian Statuary marble is a relatively porous white stone and must be sealed before grouting and regularly thereafter. Apply a penetrating (impregnating) sealer rated for natural stone prior to installation; reseal every 6–12 months in wet areas such as showers, and annually in drier applications like backsplashes. The bright white color can show staining readily — do not skip or delay sealing.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner or mild dish soap diluted in warm water; rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth to prevent water spots on the polished surface. Never use acidic cleaners (vinegar, lemon, grout haze removers) or abrasive scrubbers — acids etch polished marble instantly, leaving dull spots that require professional re-polishing to restore.

Installation: Use white polymer-modified thinset mortar to prevent grey bleed-through on the white stone. Align mesh sheets carefully, maintaining consistent joint spacing across seams. Use non-sanded (unsanded) grout for the tight circular joints to avoid scratching the polished surface. Back-butter each sheet lightly in addition to troweling the substrate for full adhesion coverage. Allow thinset to cure fully before grouting.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
