Sealing: Honed travertine is more porous and absorbent than polished stone and must be sealed before grouting and after installation. Apply a penetrating stone sealer and reapply every 12 months in kitchens and every 6–9 months in shower or wet applications. Noce's dark tones can show water spots and mineral deposits if left unsealed.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner or mild dish soap diluted in warm water. Avoid acidic cleaners such as vinegar, lemon juice, or grout haze removers, as they will etch and dull the honed surface. Wipe spills promptly, especially acidic substances like wine, coffee, or citrus juice.

Installation: Use a white or beige polymer-modified thinset to avoid telegraphing color through the stone chips. Fill natural voids in the travertine with grout or a color-matched filler before or during grouting. Use non-sanded grout for joints under 1/8 inch. Align mesh sheets carefully on a flat surface and back-butter each sheet lightly for full adhesion coverage on wall applications.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
