Small 1×2 limestone chips in a brick-joint pattern, honed to a soft matte finish in creamy beige and ivory.

Crema Europa is a fine-grained European limestone in cream, beige and ivory, with soft tan veining and the occasional fossil inclusion. The honed face is smooth and matte. It diffuses light instead of reflecting it.

The 1×2 chips come pre-arranged in a brick-joint pattern on a mesh-backed sheet. Spacing stays consistent and layout goes faster on backsplashes and walls. The small scale adds texture without feeling busy.

Care & Cleaning

Seal It

Limestone is porous. Apply a penetrating stone sealer before grouting, then reseal as needed. Pale, warm stone shows oil, wine and acidic stains if left unsealed.

Clean It

Use a pH-neutral stone soap or mild dish soap in warm water. Wipe spills right away. Avoid vinegar, lemon, bleach, other acidic or alkaline cleaners, and abrasive scrubbers.

Expect This

Each chip carries its own tone, veining and fossil traces. Acids can etch honed limestone and dull it permanently, so choose cleaners with care.

Tile & Mosaic Depot supplies material only. Installation method, setting materials, and substrate are your installer's responsibility. Inspect every piece before setting; installation is acceptance, and installed material cannot be returned or claimed.

Where can I use this mosaic?

Use it on indoor walls, kitchen backsplashes, bathroom walls and accent niches. Honed limestone can scratch underfoot, so we suggest keeping it off floors. It is meant for indoor use only.

Does it need to be sealed?

Yes, sealing is recommended. Apply a penetrating stone sealer before grouting, then reseal periodically. This helps guard the pale stone against oil, wine and acidic stains.

What setting materials work best?

White polymer-modified thinset keeps gray from showing through the pale stone. Non-sanded grout suits joints under 1/8 inch and helps protect the honed chips from scratching.

What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. Porcelain samples are highly representative of the production run. Want to see the current lot before you commit? Ask us — we'll send photos.

How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

  • The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
  • Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
  • Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
  • Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Damage & Shortages
Report within 3 calendar days of delivery with photos of the pallet, packaging, and affected pieces to sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com. Verified claims are covered. Shortages of 1–5 pieces are refunded rather than reshipped — which is why we recommend ordering 10% overage.

30-Day Returns
Uninstalled tile in full, unopened boxes may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Return freight is paid by the customer. Partial boxes, opened boxes, installed material, and samples are final sale.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

  • Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
  • Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
  • Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
