Sealing: Honed travertine is more porous than polished stone and requires sealing before installation and annually thereafter, especially in wet environments such as showers. Use a penetrating impregnating sealer rated for natural travertine to protect against moisture, staining, and mineral deposits.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner diluted in warm water and a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge. Avoid acidic cleaners such as vinegar, citrus-based products, or harsh bathroom sprays, as these will etch and damage the honed surface. Do not use abrasive scrubbers or scouring pads.

Installation: Use white polymer-modified thinset mortar to prevent any gray bleed-through on the light ivory stone. Secure the quarter round profile with care to ensure the curved face aligns flush with the adjacent tile surface. Use non-sanded grout for tight joints and ensure all grout lines are sealed along with the stone. Back-butter each piece for full coverage adhesion.

Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
