Sealing: Emperador Light marble should be sealed with a premium penetrating stone sealer prior to installation and re-sealed every 6–12 months in wet areas such as showers and bathroom floors. The tumbled finish increases surface porosity compared to polished marble, making consistent sealing essential to prevent staining and moisture absorption.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft cloth or mop — never use vinegar, citrus-based cleaners, bleach, or abrasive scrubbers, as acidic or harsh products will etch and dull the stone surface. Wipe up spills — especially oils, red wine, and acidic liquids — promptly to prevent staining on this warm-toned marble.

Installation: Use white or off-white polymer-modified thinset mortar to avoid any gray bleed-through on the lighter veining. Apply non-sanded grout for joints under 1/8 inch, or sanded grout if joints are wider. Back-butter individual chips for full coverage on floor applications, and carefully align mesh sheets so grout joints remain consistent across the field.

Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
