Sealing: Noce travertine is highly porous and must be sealed before grouting and again after installation. In wet areas such as showers, reapply a penetrating impregnating sealer every 12–18 months to prevent moisture intrusion, staining, and efflorescence. The tumbled finish and natural voids make thorough sealer penetration especially important — apply multiple coats as needed.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner diluted in warm water; avoid all acidic cleaners (vinegar, citrus, grout haze removers with acid), alkaline degreasers, and abrasive scrub pads, which will etch and erode the surface. Wipe spills promptly, especially oils, coffee, and wine, as the porous tumbled surface absorbs liquids quickly even when sealed.

Installation: Use a white or beige polymer-modified thinset mortar to avoid color bleed-through into the stone's natural voids. Fill travertine pits with grout or a matching filler after installation for a smoother finish, or leave unfilled for a more rustic look. Use non-sanded grout for joints under 1/8 inch; back-butter individual chips on uneven substrates. Align mesh sheets carefully so brick joints are consistent across seams.

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
