Nero Marquina Marble4 × 4 Tumbled

Deep black marble with fine white veining, tumbled to a soft matte face and rounded edges in a classic 4 × 4 square.

Nero Marquina is a black marble crossed by white veining. Tumbling rounds the edges and softens the face, so the surface reads matte and gently worn rather than glossy. Some tiles carry bold white lines. Others are close to solid black.

The 4 × 4 square suits backsplashes, bath walls and feature walls, where a tight grid adds rhythm without crowding the room. It can also work on a low-traffic indoor floor. Seal the stone before grouting, and use a white or grey thinset.

Care & Cleaning

Seal It

Apply a penetrating impregnator sealer before grouting. In wet areas, reseal every 6-12 months to guard against moisture and staining.

Clean It

Use a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft cloth or mop. Avoid vinegar, lemon-based products, bleach and abrasive scrubbers, which can etch the marble or break down the sealer. Wipe standing water promptly.

Expect This

Tumbled marble has a lightly pitted face, rounded edges and natural vein variation. Tiles differ from one another, and shade variation is slight (V2).

Can I use this tile on a floor?

Yes, on indoor, low-traffic residential floors such as a powder room. For shower floors, pool decks, exteriors or heavy traffic, we suggest choosing a different product.

Does it need to be sealed?

Sealing is recommended. Apply a penetrating impregnator sealer before grouting, and reseal wet areas every 6-12 months.

Which thinset should I use?

Use a white or grey polymer-modified thinset, and back-butter each tile for full coverage behind the textured face. Dark thinset can show through the grout joints.

What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Free Shipping
Free curbside freight on qualifying mosaic and molding orders over $1,999 in the continental U.S. Field tile, porcelain, and other product types ship at freight rates shown at checkout. Not available to Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. territories, or international addresses.

Damage & Shortages
Report within 3 calendar days of delivery with photos of the pallet, packaging, and affected pieces to sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com. Verified claims are covered. Shortages of 1–5 pieces are refunded rather than reshipped — which is why we recommend ordering 10% overage.

30-Day Returns
Uninstalled tile in full, unopened boxes may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Return freight is paid by the customer. Partial boxes, opened boxes, installed material, and samples are final sale.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
