Noce Travertine — the deepest, richest travertine color. Deep brown, chocolate, and walnut tones with low variation. Noce Travertine Mosaic1 × 2 Split Face

Walnut, toffee and caramel travertine in 1 × 2 split face chips, mounted on mesh for a textured, ledger-style wall.

Noce travertine runs from walnut brown to toffee and caramel, with ivory showing through in places. The split face leaves each 1 × 2 chip with a cleft, uneven surface, so light and shadow do much of the work. Voids and pitting are part of the stone.

The chips arrive pre-set on a 12 × 12 mesh-backed sheet in a brick-style layout. It reads as one band of stone cladding rather than individual tiles. It suits fireplace surrounds, feature walls and backsplashes. Brushed brass, dark wood and matte black sit well beside it.

Care & Cleaning

Seal It

Seal with a penetrating impregnator made for travertine, before grouting and again after installation. In wet areas such as showers, reapply every 12-18 months.

Clean It

Use a pH-neutral stone cleaner with a soft brush or cloth. A gentle scrub brush clears debris from the relief. Avoid vinegar, lemon-based and other acidic cleaners, which etch travertine.

Expect This

Tone, grain, voids and pitting change from chip to chip. That range is part of the look. The split face surface is textured and collects dust more readily than a honed one.

Tile & Mosaic Depot supplies material only. Installation method, setting materials, and substrate are your installer's responsibility. Inspect every piece before setting; installation is acceptance, and installed material cannot be returned or claimed.

Does this mosaic need sealing?

Sealing is recommended and protects the stone from moisture and stains. Use a penetrating impregnator made for travertine, applied before grouting and again after installation.

Can I use it in a shower?

You can use it on shower walls once it is fully sealed. The open voids hold moisture, so thorough sealing matters, and wet areas should be resealed every 12-18 months.

Can I use it on a floor?

This mosaic works best on walls, such as fireplace surrounds, feature walls and backsplashes. The raised split face is uneven underfoot, so we recommend keeping it off floors.

Samples are $7.99 each. Samples ship free and leave our warehouse within 1–3 business days. Sizes vary by material and availability — typically 3"×3" up to 8"×8" — and every sample is cut from the same material stocked for full orders.

What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. Porcelain samples are highly representative of the production run. Want to see the current lot before you commit? Ask us — we'll send photos.

How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

  • The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
  • Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
  • Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
  • Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Free Shipping
Free curbside freight on qualifying mosaic and molding orders over $1,999 in the continental U.S. Field tile, porcelain, and other product types ship at freight rates shown at checkout. Not available to Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. territories, or international addresses.

Damage & Shortages
Report within 3 calendar days of delivery with photos of the pallet, packaging, and affected pieces to sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com. Verified claims are covered. Shortages of 1–5 pieces are refunded rather than reshipped — which is why we recommend ordering 10% overage.

30-Day Returns
Uninstalled tile in full, unopened boxes may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Return freight is paid by the customer. Partial boxes, opened boxes, installed material, and samples are final sale.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

  • Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
  • Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
  • Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
