Walnut brown, caramel and mocha tones in a filled, honed 12×12 travertine with a smooth matte face and straight edges.

Noce is a warm travertine. Each tile moves between walnut brown, caramel and mocha, with the soft pitting and linear markings travertine is known for. The voids are filled and the face is honed, so the surface reads flat and matte rather than glossy.

The 12×12 format sets in a straight grid with clean lines. It suits indoor floors and walls, and it brings an earthy, grounded tone to a low-traffic floor, a bath wall or a kitchen backsplash. Brass, bronze and white oak sit well beside it.

Expect moderate (V3) variation in color and pattern from tile to tile. Samples are $7.99 each, up to 10 per order. Samples ship free, within 1-3 business days. Care & Cleaning

Seal It

Travertine is porous. Apply a penetrating stone sealer before grouting, then reseal periodically. Wet areas need resealing more often than dry rooms.

Clean It

Use a pH-neutral stone cleaner or diluted mild dish soap, then rinse and dry. Avoid vinegar, lemon products and acidic bathroom sprays, which can etch the honed face.

Expect This

Color, pitting and pattern shift from tile to tile. Filled voids are part of the look. Honed stone can still stain if it is left unsealed.

Tile & Mosaic Depot supplies material only. Installation method, setting materials, and substrate are your installer's responsibility. Inspect every piece before setting; installation is acceptance, and installed material cannot be returned or claimed.

What does filled and honed mean?

You get a smooth, matte face with the natural voids filled, so the surface reads flat and even. Honed stone is less reflective than polished, and it still benefits from sealing.

Does this tile need sealing?

A penetrating stone sealer protects the surface and is recommended for this travertine. Apply it before grouting, then reseal periodically.

Can I use it outdoors or on a shower floor?

This tile is listed for indoor floor and wall use. Outdoor, freeze-thaw and shower-floor use are not confirmed, so ask us before planning those.

How do samples work?

Samples are $7.99 each. Samples ship free and leave our warehouse within 1–3 business days. Sizes vary by material and availability — typically 3"×3" up to 8"×8" — and every sample is cut from the same material stocked for full orders.

What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. Porcelain samples are highly representative of the production run. Want to see the current lot before you commit? Ask us — we'll send photos.

How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

  • The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
  • Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
  • Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
  • Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Free curbside freight on qualifying mosaic and molding orders over $1,999 in the continental U.S. Field tile, porcelain, and other product types ship at freight rates shown at checkout. Not available to Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. territories, or international addresses.

Damage & Shortages
Report within 3 calendar days of delivery with photos of the pallet, packaging, and affected pieces to sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com. Verified claims are covered. Shortages of 1–5 pieces are refunded rather than reshipped — which is why we recommend ordering 10% overage.

30-Day Returns
Uninstalled tile in full, unopened boxes may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Return freight is paid by the customer. Partial boxes, opened boxes, installed material, and samples are final sale.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

  • Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
  • Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
  • Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
