A warm walnut-and-caramel travertine, filled and honed to a smooth matte surface in a long 12 × 24 format with straight edges.

Noce travertine runs from walnut brown to caramel and gold, with cream veining and small fossil-like markings. This tile is filled and honed, so the surface reads smooth and matte rather than open and pitted. The edges are straight.

The 12 × 24 format suits straight-set or staggered layouts. Straight edges allow tight grout joints, which keeps the eye on the stone's flowing grain. Warm brass, white oak and cream walls sit comfortably beside it.

Care & Cleaning

Seal It

Seal before installation with a penetrating sealer made for natural stone. In wet or high-traffic areas, plan to reseal every 12–18 months.

Clean It

Use warm water or a pH-neutral stone cleaner with a soft mop or cloth. Skip vinegar, citrus cleaners, bleach and abrasive scrubbers.

Expect This

Tone, veining and fossil markings vary from tile to tile. Wipe up oils, wine and acidic spills promptly to protect the honed surface.

Tile & Mosaic Depot supplies material only. Installation method, setting materials, and substrate are your installer's responsibility. Inspect every piece before setting; installation is acceptance, and installed material cannot be returned or claimed.

What does filled and honed mean?

You get a smooth, even matte surface. The natural voids in the travertine are filled with a color-matched compound, then the face is honed. The stone is still natural and still benefits from sealing.

Does this tile need sealing?

Sealing is recommended. A penetrating sealer made for natural stone helps protect the honed surface from oils and stains. In wet or high-traffic areas, reseal every 12–18 months.

How much should I order?

Order your measured square footage plus 10% for cuts and layout, all at once so it comes from one lot. Each tile covers 2 sq ft, and the tile is sold per sq ft.

How do I order a sample?

Add up to 10 samples to one order at $7.99 each. Samples ship free and go out within 1–3 business days.

How It Works
Samples are $7.99 each. Samples ship free and leave our warehouse within 1–3 business days. Sizes vary by material and availability — typically 3"×3" up to 8"×8" — and every sample is cut from the same material stocked for full orders.

What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. Porcelain samples are highly representative of the production run. Want to see the current lot before you commit? Ask us — we'll send photos.

How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

  • The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
  • Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
  • Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
  • Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Free curbside freight on qualifying mosaic and molding orders over $1,999 in the continental U.S. Field tile, porcelain, and other product types ship at freight rates shown at checkout. Not available to Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. territories, or international addresses.

Damage & Shortages
Report within 3 calendar days of delivery with photos of the pallet, packaging, and affected pieces to sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com. Verified claims are covered. Shortages of 1–5 pieces are refunded rather than reshipped — which is why we recommend ordering 10% overage.

30-Day Returns
Uninstalled tile in full, unopened boxes may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Return freight is paid by the customer. Partial boxes, opened boxes, installed material, and samples are final sale.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

  • Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
  • Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
  • Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
