A sage-green limestone with pale fossil traces, offered in an 18×18 polished format for indoor floors and walls.

Seagrass Limestone has a fine-grained sage-green ground scattered with cream and tan fossil fragments. Shell shapes, small spirals and slender curved traces run in every direction. From a distance the surface reads as calm. Up close, it is full of detail.

The 18×18 square keeps grout lines to a minimum. Use it for a quiet floor, a feature wall or a bath surround. It sits well with warm wood, brushed brass and plaster-white walls. This is a clearance item.

Care & Cleaning

Seal It

Limestone is porous. Apply a penetrating impregnating sealer before grouting. The existing guidance is to reseal every 12 months in dry areas and every 6 months in bathrooms.

Clean It

Use a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft mop or cloth. Avoid vinegar, citrus, bleach and abrasive pads, which can etch or dull a polished surface.

Expect This

Polished limestone can etch from acids, so wipe up wine, juice and coffee right away. Color, fossil traces and markings differ from tile to tile.

Tile & Mosaic Depot supplies material only. Installation method, setting materials, and substrate are your installer's responsibility. Inspect every piece before setting; installation is acceptance, and installed material cannot be returned or claimed.

Does Seagrass Limestone need to be sealed?

Yes, sealing keeps it protected. Apply a penetrating impregnating sealer before grouting, then reseal on a regular schedule. Polished limestone can etch from acids, so sealing helps but does not make it etch-proof.

Can I use it in a shower?

It works well on bathroom walls once sealed. For a shower floor, choose a honed or tumbled stone instead, since polished stone can be slippery when wet.

Can I use it outdoors?

It is well suited to indoor floors and walls. Polished limestone is not rated for exterior exposure, so choose a different material for patios or other outdoor areas.

How do I order samples?

You can order up to 10 samples per order at $7.99 each. Samples ship free and go out within 1-3 business days. Viewing them in your own light helps you judge the color and finish.

What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. Porcelain samples are highly representative of the production run. Want to see the current lot before you commit? Ask us — we'll send photos.

How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

  • The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
  • Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
  • Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
  • Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Damage & Shortages
Report within 3 calendar days of delivery with photos of the pallet, packaging, and affected pieces to sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com. Verified claims are covered. Shortages of 1–5 pieces are refunded rather than reshipped — which is why we recommend ordering 10% overage.

30-Day Returns
Uninstalled tile in full, unopened boxes may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Return freight is paid by the customer. Partial boxes, opened boxes, installed material, and samples are final sale.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

  • Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
  • Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
  • Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
