Sealing: Noce Travertine must be sealed prior to installation and resealed every 12–18 months, particularly in wet areas such as showers and backsplashes behind cooking surfaces. Use a penetrating impregnator sealer formulated for porous natural stone. The honed finish, while more resistant to visible etching than polished, is still porous and absorbs oils and moisture readily without proper sealing.

Cleaning: Clean regularly with a pH-neutral stone cleaner diluted in warm water and a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge. Avoid acidic cleaners, vinegar, citrus-based products, and anything containing bleach or ammonia, as these will etch the honed surface and degrade the sealer. Wipe spills — especially oils, wine, and acidic liquids — promptly to prevent staining.

Installation: Use a white or ivory polymer-modified thinset mortar to avoid bleed-through on lighter chips within the mosaic blend. Apply thinset to the substrate with a notched trowel and back-butter each sheet lightly for full coverage behind the chips. Use non-sanded grout for joints under 1/8 inch. Align mesh sheets carefully on the wall before pressing to maintain consistent diamond geometry across the installation. Fill any natural voids in the travertine with grout or a color-matched travertine filler before final grouting.
