Sealing: Thassos White marble must be sealed with a penetrating stone sealer before grouting and installation. Because of its exceptional whiteness and porosity, sealing is critical — any absorbed stain will be highly visible against the pure white surface. In wet areas such as showers and bathroom floors, reseal every 6–12 months to maintain full protection. Apply two coats initially for maximum stain resistance.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft microfiber cloth or mop. Never use acidic cleaners (vinegar, citrus-based products), bleach, or abrasive scrubbers — acids will etch the polished surface, creating dull spots that are very noticeable on a high-gloss white tile. Wipe up spills immediately, especially coffee, wine, or citrus juice, which can stain or etch within minutes.

Installation: Use bright white polymer-modified thinset mortar — never gray thinset — to prevent shadowing through the pale stone. Back-butter each tile in addition to spreading thinset on the substrate to ensure full coverage and prevent hollow spots on this large format tile. Use plastic tile spacers for consistent joints and select a non-sanded white grout for a refined finish. Allow thinset to cure fully before grouting, and apply sealer before grouting to protect the tile faces from grout haze.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
