Sealing: Vitreous glass tile does not require sealing — the glass surface is non-porous and impervious to water and staining. However, the grout joints should be sealed with a penetrating, pool-grade grout sealer upon installation and inspected annually, especially in outdoor or chemically treated pool environments.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral tile cleaner or a diluted white vinegar solution for mineral deposits and waterline calcium buildup. Avoid abrasive scrubbers or scouring pads that can scratch the polished glass surface. For pool environments, maintain balanced water chemistry (pH 7.2–7.6) to prevent calcium scaling and etching of grout joints.

Installation: Use a white polymer-modified thinset adhesive rated for glass tile and pool/submerged applications — gray thinset may show through translucent chips. Apply non-sanded pool-grade grout for the narrow 1/16"–1/8" joints typical of this mosaic format. Back-butter each sheet in addition to troweling the substrate for full coverage, and ensure the mesh backing is fully embedded. Allow full cure time before filling the pool with water.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
