Tobacco-2 Glass Mosaic0.8" Square Chips on Sheet

Dark glass chips streaked with amber, copper, and gold, set on a 12 × 12 sheet for a warm, deep surface.

Tobacco-2 is a glass mosaic of 0.8" square chips mounted on a 12 × 12 sheet. The chips run from near-black to amber and copper, with streaks of gold through many of them. From a distance the sheet reads dark and warm. Up close, the color has depth.

Use it where you want richness without a bold pattern: a kitchen backsplash, a bath wall, or a single feature wall. Warm metals and cream or greige surfaces bring out the amber. A dark grout keeps the grid quiet. A lighter grout defines each chip.

Order a sample for $7.99 each, up to 10 per order. Samples ship free and go out within 1-3 business days. Seeing the sheet in your own light is the best way to judge how dark or warm it reads.

Care & Cleaning

Clean It

Wipe with a soft cloth and a mild, pH-neutral cleaner. Rinse and dry to avoid streaks on the glass.

Grout

Choose a grout close to the dark chips for a unified look, or a lighter shade to show the grid. Ask your installer which setting materials suit glass mosaics.

Expect This

The chips in the photo vary in tone and streaking, so sheets will not be identical. Judge color in your own light with a sample.

Tile & Mosaic Depot supplies material only. Installation method, setting materials, and substrate are your installer's responsibility. Inspect every piece before setting; installation is acceptance, and installed material cannot be returned or claimed.

Questions

Can I order a sample?

Yes. Samples are $7.99 each, up to 10 per order. Samples ship free and go out within 1-3 business days.

How much does one sheet cover?

Each 12 × 12 sheet covers 1.16 sq ft, and a box of 20 sheets is listed at 23.10 sq ft. Add a little extra to your measured area to allow for cuts and waste.

Will my order look like the sample or photo?

Your sample shows the color and finish in your own light, which is the best way to judge the look. The chips vary in tone and streaking, so sheets will not be identical. Ordering your full quantity at once keeps the job consistent.

How is this mosaic sold?

You buy it per sheet, at $14.99 per sheet. Each sheet holds 0.8" square glass chips on a 12 × 12 mount.

Does this mosaic qualify for free shipping?

Yes, mosaic orders over $1,999 ship free. Smaller orders ship at the standard rate shown at checkout.

Why Order a Sample
A screen can't show you how Calacatta veining reads under your kitchen lights or how a porcelain finish sits next to your cabinet color. A sample can. It's the single best way to buy stone or porcelain tile with confidence — and the cheapest mistake you'll ever avoid.

How It Works
Samples are $7.99 each. Samples ship free and leave our warehouse within 1–3 business days. Sizes vary by material and availability — typically 3"×3" up to 8"×8" — and every sample is cut from the same material stocked for full orders.

What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. Porcelain samples are highly representative of the production run. Want to see the current lot before you commit? Ask us — we'll send photos.

Good to Know

  • Samples are final sale — non-returnable and non-refundable.
  • We recommend sampling before every full order, especially for natural stone.

How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

  • The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
  • Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
  • Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
  • Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Free Shipping
Free curbside freight on qualifying mosaic and molding orders over $1,999 in the continental U.S. Field tile, porcelain, and other product types ship at freight rates shown at checkout. Not available to Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. territories, or international addresses.

Damage & Shortages
Report within 3 calendar days of delivery with photos of the pallet, packaging, and affected pieces to sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com. Verified claims are covered. Shortages of 1–5 pieces are refunded rather than reshipped — which is why we recommend ordering 10% overage.

30-Day Returns
Uninstalled tile in full, unopened boxes may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Return freight is paid by the customer. Partial boxes, opened boxes, installed material, and samples are final sale.

Questions Before You Order?
Call (855) 797-8453 or email sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com, Monday–Friday 8:30 AM–5 PM PT. If you're unsure about freight access at your address, ask us before checkout — we'll flag anything that could hold up delivery.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

  • Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
  • Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
  • Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.

Responsibility
Tile & Mosaic Depot supplies material only. We are not responsible for installation, labor costs, substrate conditions, setting materials, product misuse, or damage from handling, sealing, maintenance, or chemicals. No claims, returns, or replacements are accepted on installed material.

California Proposition 65
Some natural stone and porcelain products contain substances known to the State of California to cause cancer or reproductive harm. Details at www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.
