Sealing: Silver Travertine must be sealed before grouting and regularly thereafter — apply a penetrating stone sealer every 12 months in dry areas and every 6 months in wet areas such as showers. The split face finish has an especially porous, open surface that absorbs liquids and staining agents quickly, making thorough sealer saturation on all exposed faces critical.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner diluted in warm water and a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge. Never use acidic cleaners (vinegar, citrus), bleach, or abrasive scrubbers, as these will etch the stone surface and degrade the sealer. The textured split face surface can trap soap scum and mineral deposits — a soft-bristle brush with neutral cleaner works well for periodic deep cleaning.

Installation: Use a white or gray polymer-modified thinset mortar to avoid dark bleed-through on the lighter stone chips. Back-butter each mesh sheet in addition to applying thinset to the substrate for full coverage behind the uneven split face chips. Use a non-sanded grout for the tight 1×2 joints and ensure grout is pushed fully into the relief gaps between chips. Align mesh sheets carefully to maintain consistent joint spacing and horizontal coursing across the installation.

Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
