Sealing: Silver Travertine is a porous natural stone and must be sealed before grouting and regularly thereafter. Apply a penetrating impregnating sealer prior to installation and reseal every 6–12 months in wet areas such as showers, or annually in lower-moisture applications. The filled surface of this molding is particularly important to seal to protect the filler material and the stone from moisture intrusion.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner or mild dish soap diluted in water — never use vinegar, citrus-based cleaners, bleach, or abrasive scrubbers, as acidic or harsh chemicals will etch and dull the honed travertine surface. For daily maintenance, a soft damp cloth is sufficient; dry the surface promptly in wet areas to prevent water spots and mineral deposits.

Installation: Use white polymer-modified thinset mortar to avoid any gray bleed-through on the light stone surface. Back-butter each piece in addition to applying thinset to the wall for maximum adhesion. Use non-sanded grout for tight joints and ensure the molding is level throughout the run for a clean, professional horizontal line. Allow thinset to fully cure before grouting or sealing.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects.
