Sealing: Silver Travertine is a porous natural stone and must be sealed before grouting and use. Apply a penetrating stone sealer prior to installation and reseal every 12 months in wet areas such as showers. In dry applications such as backsplashes, resealing every 2–3 years is sufficient.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge. Never use vinegar, lemon juice, bleach, or any acidic or alkaline cleaners — these will etch the polished surface and erode the stone's finish over time. Wipe up spills promptly, especially acidic substances like wine or citrus juice.

Installation: Use white polymer-modified thinset mortar to prevent any grey bleed-through on this light-toned stone. For pencil liner installations, pre-lay pieces dry to plan grout joint alignment with the surrounding field tile. Use non-sanded grout for joints under 1/8 inch. Back-butter each piece for full adhesion contact, especially on wall applications.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
