Sealing: Silver Travertine is a naturally porous stone and must be sealed before grouting and after installation with a high-quality penetrating (impregnating) stone sealer. Reseal every 12–18 months in bathroom or high-humidity environments, and annually in all interior applications. The honed finish, while more resistant to etching than polished, still benefits from regular sealing to prevent staining within natural pores and voids.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner diluted in warm water and a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge. Never use acidic cleaners (vinegar, citrus, or bleach-based products) as they will etch the travertine surface and dissolve the stone's calcium carbonate composition. For the honed finish, avoid abrasive scrubbing pads that can scratch and roughen the smooth matte surface; blot spills immediately to prevent penetration into natural pores.

Installation: Use a white polymer-modified thinset mortar to prevent any grey bleed-through on lighter stone faces. Back-butter each panel in addition to combing the substrate to ensure full coverage and eliminate hollow spots behind the dimensional profile. Allow adequate open time when working with large jumbo-format panels. Use non-sanded grout for joints under 1/8 inch or sanded grout for wider joints as needed; fill any open travertine voids with grout or matching filler before final sealing. Ensure the substrate wall is perfectly plumb and flat — lippage is magnified on large-format dimensional panels.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Freight Delivery

  • Curbside delivery. The carrier unloads at the curb or driveway nearest your address; delivery does not include moving materials indoors or into a garage.

Natural Variation
Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

  • Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
  • Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
  • Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
  • Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
