Sealing: Silver Travertine is a porous stone and must be sealed prior to installation and after grouting. Apply a penetrating, impregnating sealer formulated for travertine; re-seal exterior applications annually and interior applications every 1–2 years. The rough split face surface has significantly more exposed area than a honed tile, so thorough sealer saturation from multiple angles is essential.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner diluted in water and a soft brush to work into the textured crevices. Never use acidic cleaners, vinegar, citrus-based products, or abrasive scrubbers, as these will etch and erode the stone surface. For exterior panels, a gentle low-pressure rinse is appropriate for routine maintenance.

Installation: Use a white or grey polymer-modified thinset mortar applied to a clean, flat substrate — back-butter each panel generously to ensure full contact across the irregular split face. Stagger panel lengths for a natural, non-repetitive look and use a wet saw with a diamond blade for any cuts. Allow adequate expansion joints for exterior installations subject to freeze-thaw cycles. Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
