Sealing: Silver Travertine is a porous stone and must be sealed before use. Apply a high-quality penetrating stone sealer prior to grouting and re-seal every 12–18 months in wet areas such as bathrooms and outdoor installations. Because this tile is sold unfilled, extra care should be taken to ensure the sealer penetrates the open voids thoroughly — a second coat is recommended for outdoor or shower applications.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner diluted in warm water and a soft mop or cloth. Avoid acidic cleaners (vinegar, citrus, bleach) and abrasive scrubbing pads, which will etch and erode the brushed surface and open pores over time. Wipe up spills — especially oils, wine, and acidic liquids — promptly to prevent staining in the unfilled voids.

Installation: Use a white or grey polymer-modified thinset mortar appropriate for natural stone. Back-butter each tile in addition to applying thinset to the substrate to ensure full coverage around the open pores and irregular chiseled edges. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
