Silver Travertine is a premium sedimentary natural stone celebrated for its layered, dimensional aesthetic and cool silver-grey palette with warm ivory and charcoal undertones. Sourced from mineral-rich quarries, this stone carries the authentic character of millions of years of geological formation, making every panel a one-of-a-kind work of natural art.

The split-face finish is achieved by hand-cleaving each stone piece along its natural fracture plane, revealing a raw, richly textured surface with pronounced peaks and valleys that catch and shift with changing light throughout the day. Mounted on a rigid panel backing in the classic stacked-stone Rockmount configuration, the 9×24 XL format installs quickly and efficiently — covering significantly more wall area per piece than standard ledger sizes and maintaining consistent alignment with ease.

These panels are ideal for interior fireplace surrounds, living room feature walls, media walls, and exterior façade cladding or landscaping accent walls. As a clearance or special-order item, ordering a sample is strongly recommended to confirm color and texture suitability before committing to a full project quantity; natural stone images may vary from screen to actual panel appearance.

Sealing: Silver Travertine is a naturally porous stone and must be sealed before grouting and after installation. Apply a penetrating stone sealer rated for travertine prior to first use, and reseal every 12–18 months for interior applications. For any exterior or moisture-exposed installation, use a high-performance penetrating sealer and inspect annually — the deeply textured split-face surface can harbor moisture if left unsealed.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft brush to reach into the crevices of the split-face texture. Avoid acidic cleaners (vinegar, citrus), alkaline degreasers, and any bleach-based products, all of which will etch and degrade the stone surface. Rinse thoroughly after cleaning and allow the stone to dry completely before resealing.

Installation: Use a polymer-modified grey or white thinset mortar suitable for natural stone and back-butter each panel fully to ensure complete coverage given the uneven split-face profile. Allow each panel to cure fully before applying grout. Use a sanded grout or mortar in a complementary grey tone to fill joints between panels; widen joints slightly if needed for exterior installations to allow for thermal expansion. Always dry-lay panels before installation to blend tonal variation across the wall surface.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. In-stock orders are processed within 2–3 business days. Most tile and stone orders ship via scheduled LTL freight and typically arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on your destination. You'll receive tracking and carrier details by email as soon as your order leaves our warehouse.

Freight Delivery

  • Curbside delivery. The carrier unloads at the curb or driveway nearest your address; delivery does not include moving materials indoors or into a garage.
  • Scheduled appointment. The freight company contacts you directly to arrange a delivery window.
  • Signature required. An adult (18+) must be present to inspect and sign for the shipment.

Natural Variation
Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

  • Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
  • Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
  • Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
  • Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
