A cool blue-grey limestone with a soft honed surface, fine grain, and small fossil traces.

Gascogne Blue reads as a quiet grey with a blue cast. Fine tan flecks, faint veining, and small fossil traces move across the surface. The tones are muted and even, which keeps large areas calm.

The honed finish is smooth and matte, with no mirror shine. The 12 × 12 format works in a straight grid or an offset layout. We suggest it for indoor walls and floors, and sealing is recommended.

Care & Cleaning

Seal It

Seal with a penetrating impregnator before installation. Limestone is porous and can stain from oils, soaps, and minerals. Reseal every 12-18 months.

Clean It

Use a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft mop or cloth. Avoid vinegar, citrus, bleach, and abrasive scrubbers, which can etch and dull the honed surface. Wipe spills promptly.

Expect This

Each tile will differ. Expect fossil traces, tonal shifts, and faint veining across the order. Acidic liquids can leave marks on honed limestone, even when sealed.

Tile & Mosaic Depot supplies material only. Installation method, setting materials, and substrate are your installer's responsibility. Inspect every piece before setting; installation is acceptance, and installed material cannot be returned or claimed.

How much tile do I need to order?

Each 12 × 12 tile covers 1 sq ft, so your area in square feet is your piece count. Add 10% for cuts and spares, and order it all at once so it comes from one lot.

Does this limestone need sealing?

Seal it before installation with a penetrating impregnator, then reseal every 12-18 months. Sealing helps resist staining from oils, soaps, and minerals. Pay attention to grout joints too.

Where can I use Gascogne Blue Honed?

Use it on indoor walls and floors, such as living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms, and backsplashes. Limestone is frost-sensitive, so we suggest keeping it out of outdoor spaces.

Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

  • The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
  • Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
  • Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
  • Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Damage & Shortages
Report within 3 calendar days of delivery with photos of the pallet, packaging, and affected pieces to sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com. Verified claims are covered. Shortages of 1–5 pieces are refunded rather than reshipped — which is why we recommend ordering 10% overage.

30-Day Returns
Uninstalled tile in full, unopened boxes may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Return freight is paid by the customer. Partial boxes, opened boxes, installed material, and samples are final sale.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

  • Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
  • Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
  • Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
