A white marble plank with fine grey veining, polished to bring out the stone's brightness and the lines running through it.

Marmara is a white marble with grey veining that runs mostly in one direction. In the photo, the lines range from a soft haze to sharp, dark strokes, so each plank reads a little differently from the next.

The 6 × 24 format is a long, narrow plank. Laid in a running bond or stacked, it pulls the eye along the wall. The polished finish reflects light and sharpens the veining. Use it on bath walls, backsplashes, feature walls, and low-traffic indoor floors.

Care & Cleaning

Seal It

Apply a penetrating impregnating sealer before grouting and again after installation. White marble stains easily, so keep up the sealing schedule your sealer calls for.

Clean It

Use a pH-neutral stone cleaner with a soft cloth or mop. Avoid vinegar, citrus, and bleach-based products, which etch polished marble. Wipe up wine, coffee, and juice right away.

Expect This

Veining and tone shift from tile to tile, and slightly from lot to lot. Inspect tiles before installing, and mix from several boxes as you lay.

Tile & Mosaic Depot supplies material only. Installation method, setting materials, and substrate are your installer's responsibility. Inspect every piece before setting; installation is acceptance, and installed material cannot be returned or claimed.

Where can I use this tile?

Use it indoors on walls, backsplashes, and low-traffic floors. For shower floors, outdoor areas, or heavy commercial traffic, choose a different material, since polished marble can scratch, etch, and turn slick when wet.

Does Marmara Marble need to be sealed?

Yes, sealing is recommended. Apply a penetrating sealer before grouting and again after installation. Sealed marble resists stains better, though acidic cleaners and spills can still etch the polished surface.

How much should I order?

Each 6 × 24 tile covers 1 sq ft, so your square footage is your tile count. Add 10% for cuts and waste, and order it all at once so every tile comes from the same lot.

How do samples work?

Order up to 10 samples per order at $7.99 each. Samples ship free, within 1-3 business days. Use them to check the veining and polish in your own light.

How It Works
Samples are $7.99 each. Samples ship free and leave our warehouse within 1–3 business days. Sizes vary by material and availability — typically 3"×3" up to 8"×8" — and every sample is cut from the same material stocked for full orders.

What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. Porcelain samples are highly representative of the production run. Want to see the current lot before you commit? Ask us — we'll send photos.

How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

  • The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
  • Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
  • Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
  • Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Damage & Shortages
Report within 3 calendar days of delivery with photos of the pallet, packaging, and affected pieces to sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com. Verified claims are covered. Shortages of 1–5 pieces are refunded rather than reshipped — which is why we recommend ordering 10% overage.

30-Day Returns
Uninstalled tile in full, unopened boxes may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Return freight is paid by the customer. Partial boxes, opened boxes, installed material, and samples are final sale.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

  • Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
  • Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
  • Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
