Sealing: Gascogne Beige limestone should be sealed with a penetrating stone sealer before grouting and before first use. In wet areas such as shower floors and walls, reapply sealer every 12–18 months to prevent staining and moisture penetration. The honed finish, while more forgiving than polished, is still porous and benefits from consistent sealing maintenance.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner diluted in warm water; avoid acidic cleaners, vinegar, citrus-based products, and abrasive scrubbers, which can etch or pit the limestone surface. Wipe up spills — especially oils, wine, and acidic liquids — promptly to prevent staining. Do not use bleach or ammonia-based products.

Installation: Use white polymer-modified thinset mortar to avoid any gray shadowing through this pale stone. Back-butter each tile in addition to troweling the substrate to ensure full coverage and prevent lippage on the large-format tiles. Use a 3/16" to 1/4" grout joint with an unsanded or fine-sanded grout in a warm beige tone to complement the stone. Allow thinset to cure fully before grouting, and seal grout lines as well.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
