Sealing: Gascogne Beige Limestone is a porous natural stone that requires thorough sealing before installation and regular maintenance sealing thereafter. Apply a penetrating impregnating sealer prior to grouting; in wet areas such as bathrooms and showers, reseal every 6–12 months. The honed finish, while more forgiving than polished, still allows moisture and oils to penetrate if left unsealed.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner diluted in warm water and a soft mop or cloth. Avoid acidic cleaners (vinegar, citrus-based products), bleach, and abrasive scrubbers, which can etch or dull the honed surface and degrade the sealer. Wipe up spills — especially acidic liquids like wine, coffee, and citrus juice — promptly to prevent staining or etching.

Installation: Use a white polymer-modified thinset mortar to prevent any grey or dark bleed-through on this light-toned stone. Back-butter each tile in addition to applying thinset to the substrate to ensure full, even coverage and minimize hollow spots for an 18×18 format. Use a large-format tile leveling system to maintain consistent plane across the installation. Grout joint width of 1/16" to 1/8" is typical; use an unsanded or fine-sanded grout in a matching beige tone.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
