Sealing: Calacatta Viola marble must be sealed with a penetrating stone sealer before grouting and use. In wet areas such as showers, reseal every 6–12 months. The pale white and ivory ground of this stone is particularly susceptible to staining from oils, soaps, and pigmented liquids, so prompt sealing and resealing are essential.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft cloth or mop — never use vinegar, citrus-based cleaners, bleach, or abrasive scrubbers. The honed finish, while more forgiving than polished, can still absorb spills readily; wipe up any acidic liquids such as wine, coffee, or citrus juice immediately to prevent etching or staining.

Installation: Use white polymer-modified thinset mortar to avoid any gray bleed-through showing beneath the pale stone chips. For the small penny round joints, use non-sanded grout (joints under 1/8 inch). Align mesh sheets carefully during installation, pressing the entire sheet firmly to ensure full coverage and avoid hollow spots. Allow thinset to fully cure before grouting.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.

Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
