A honed marble baseboard with a white ground and deep violet veining, for finishing the base of a tiled wall.

Calacatta Viola has a bright white ground threaded with violet, lavender and warm gold veining. The honed finish is matte and soft to the touch, so the veining reads without glare. This 4 3/4 × 12 baseboard has a stepped profile with a rounded top edge.

Set it at the foot of a marble wall, or use it as a border in a bath or entry. It sits well with brushed brass, warm oak and greige or plaster walls. It is a trim piece for walls, not for underfoot use.

Care & Cleaning

Seal It

Apply a penetrating impregnating sealer before grouting and again right after installation. In wet areas such as bathrooms, reseal every 6-12 months.

Clean It

Use a pH-neutral stone cleaner with a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid vinegar, citrus and bleach-based products, which etch honed marble.

Expect This

Honed marble is more porous than polished, and the pale ground can stain. Wipe spills promptly, especially oil, wine and colored liquids. Vein pattern varies from piece to piece.

Tile & Mosaic Depot supplies material only. Installation method, setting materials, and substrate are your installer's responsibility. Inspect every piece before setting; installation is acceptance, and installed material cannot be returned or claimed.

Where can I use this baseboard?

Use it indoors as a wall base or border trim. It is a trim piece and is not rated for underfoot use. Honed marble is also not recommended outdoors because of freeze-thaw damage.

What should I use to set it?

Set it with white polymer-modified thinset to avoid gray bleed-through on this light stone. Back-butter each piece fully for a solid bond along the length of the molding.

Does it qualify for free shipping?

Moldings ship free on orders over $1,999 within the continental U.S. Smaller orders ship at rates calculated at checkout.

What a Sample Shows
Color, texture, finish, and overall character. Because natural stone varies piece to piece, one sample represents the material but can't show the full range of a lot. How Your Order Ships
In-stock orders leave our warehouse within 2–3 business days. Stone, porcelain, and mosaic ship on a pallet via scheduled LTL freight and arrive 2–10 business days after dispatch, depending on destination. You'll get tracking and the carrier's name by email the day it ships.

Freight Delivery — What to Expect

The carrier calls you first. Every freight delivery is by appointment. Expect a call or text to set a window before the truck is dispatched.
Curbside delivery. The driver unloads to the curb or driveway. Freight does not include carrying material indoors or into a garage — plan for a helper or a hand truck.
Someone 18+ must sign. Inspect the pallet before signing. Note any damage, shortage, or broken shrink-wrap on the delivery receipt — this is what makes a claim valid.
Truck access. The address must be accessible to a full-size freight truck with enough space to unload.

Free Shipping
Free curbside freight on qualifying mosaic and molding orders over $1,999 in the continental U.S. Field tile, porcelain, and other product types ship at freight rates shown at checkout. Not available to Hawaii, Alaska, U.S. territories, or international addresses.

Damage & Shortages
Report within 3 calendar days of delivery with photos of the pallet, packaging, and affected pieces to sales@tileandmosaicdepot.com. Verified claims are covered. Shortages of 1–5 pieces are refunded rather than reshipped — which is why we recommend ordering 10% overage.

30-Day Returns
Uninstalled tile in full, unopened boxes may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Return freight is paid by the customer. Partial boxes, opened boxes, installed material, and samples are final sale.

Natural Variation
Quarried stone varies in color, veining, shade, movement, and finish from piece to piece and from lot to lot. Screen photos and samples show the range, not the exact tile you'll receive. Variation is the nature of the material and is never grounds for return. Porcelain is far more consistent, but shade and pattern can still shift between production runs — buy your full quantity in one order.

Before You Install

Order 10% overage. Covers cuts, breakage, and spares for future repairs. Reorders may not match in tone or lot.
Inspect every piece before setting. Pull from all boxes, blend, and dry-lay the full area. Installation is acceptance — no claims are honored once tile is set.
Hire a qualified installer. Natural stone and large-format porcelain require experience with the material. Your installer is responsible for substrate, setting materials, and method.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a penetrating sealer and re-sealed periodically in wet and high-traffic areas. Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner only — vinegar, bleach, ammonia, and acidic cleaners etch marble, limestone, travertine, and onyx permanently. Porcelain does not require sealing. Outdoor stone weathers and shifts in tone over time; this is expected.
