Sealing: Mont Blanc Serena marble must be sealed prior to installation and resealed every 12 months in dry areas, or every 6 months in wet areas such as showers and around tub surrounds. As a pale white marble, it is particularly susceptible to staining from oils, dyes, and minerals — a penetrating impregnating sealer specifically formulated for natural stone is strongly recommended.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner diluted in warm water and a soft microfiber cloth or mop. Never use vinegar, lemon juice, ammonia, bleach, or any acidic or alkaline cleaner, as these will etch and dull the honed surface. Wipe spills — especially red wine, coffee, and citrus — immediately to prevent staining of the white ground.

Installation: Use white polymer-modified thinset mortar to prevent gray bleed-through on this pale marble. Back-butter each tile fully in addition to applying thinset to the substrate to ensure complete coverage and eliminate voids, which is especially important at the 18×18 format. Use tile leveling clips to maintain a flat plane across large-format tiles, and seal all grout joints in wet areas with a color-matched sanded or unsanded grout appropriate to your joint width.

Important: Inspect all tile before installation. Variations in color, veining, and texture between pieces are natural characteristics of genuine stone — not defects. Color, veining, texture, shade, movement, finish, and sizing vary from piece to piece. Product photos and samples are a general reference and may not match the exact material you receive. These variations are inherent characteristics of natural stone — they are part of its beauty, not defects.

Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
