Sealing: Noce travertine is a naturally porous stone and must be sealed before grouting and again after installation. In wet areas such as showers, reapply a penetrating stone sealer every 12–18 months to prevent moisture intrusion and staining. The honed finish, while less reflective than polished, is still susceptible to oil and water absorption, making consistent sealing especially important.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner diluted in warm water — never use vinegar, citrus-based cleaners, bleach, or any acidic or alkaline products, as these will etch and erode the travertine surface. For the beveled edges and recessed joints, a soft-bristle brush can help dislodge residue without scratching the honed finish. Wipe dry after cleaning in wet areas to minimize mineral deposits.

Installation: Use a white polymer-modified thinset to avoid dark adhesive telegraphing through the stone or into natural voids. Align mesh sheets carefully edge-to-edge, maintaining consistent grout joint spacing. Use unsanded or fine-sanded grout depending on joint width. Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.

Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
