Sealing: Noce travertine must be sealed before grouting and regularly thereafter. In wet areas such as showers, apply a penetrating stone sealer every 12 months. The honed finish is more porous than polished surfaces and will absorb moisture and staining agents more readily if left unsealed.

Cleaning: Clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner and a soft cloth or mop. Avoid acidic cleaners (vinegar, citrus-based products) and alkaline degreasers, as both will etch and dull the honed surface. Wipe spills — especially oils, wine, and coffee — promptly to prevent staining.

Installation: Use white or ivory unsanded thinset mortar to avoid discoloring the stone through the open pits characteristic of travertine. Align mesh sheets carefully to maintain consistent joint width. Fill travertine voids with matching grout or a travertine filler prior to sealing for a smooth, finished look. Back-butter individual strips on larger pieces to ensure full adhesive coverage and prevent lippage.

Before You Install

Order roughly 10% extra to allow for cuts, waste, and future repairs.
Blend tiles from multiple boxes as you work to achieve the most natural, balanced appearance.
Dry-lay and inspect the full layout before setting a single tile.
Installation constitutes full acceptance of the product, so review everything carefully first.

Sealing & Care
Natural stone should be sealed with a quality penetrating sealer before and after installation, and re-sealed periodically in wet or high-traffic areas. Clean only with a pH-neutral stone cleaner; avoid acidic products, bleach, vinegar, and ammonia, which can permanently etch the surface. Outdoor installations may weather or change tone over time with exposure.
